H1N1 Vaccine Locations in PA

H1N1 vaccine is now available to the general public through certified providers, and possibly your own doctor. We have expanded the vaccination program to everyone because approximately three million doses of vaccine have been allocated to healthcare providers who administered it to individuals in the five recommended priority groups.

The Department of Health is planning vaccination clinics for January 8 and 9 throughout the commonwealth for Pennsylvanians who do not have access to it through his or her healthcare provider or do not have a provider. You can register now to receive the vaccine

Individuals must schedule an appointment ahead of time, and can do so 24 hours a day at www.H1N1inPA.com under "What's Hot." Those without Internet access can call 1-877-PA HEALTH (1-877-724-3258), Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phone lines are limited.

Anyone seeking vaccination should download an H1N1 vaccine consent form. Consent forms must be completed for each individual that has made an appointment.

It's important for people to still get immunized, even though influenza activity in the state is declining. We anticipate a third wave of this pandemic will occur in Pennsylvania. The best way to protect yourself and your family is to get vaccinated.

Children under 10 years of age require a second dose of vaccine. The second dose should be provided between 21 and 28 days after the first dose. If a child requires a second dose, the parent or guardian should contact his or her doctor or school (wherever his or her received the first dose) or call the county state health center to schedule an appointment for the vaccine.

The Department of Health continues to urge Pennsylvanians in the recommended priority groups to get vaccinated if they haven't already done so.
